I just want to sleep....

So I finally start my maternity leave today... most people around this time say oh... I just want her to be born .. I want to see her I want to play with her. Me ... well not really. I just want to be on maternity leave... having to get up and sit through work is annoying when your back hurts, your getting dizzy sometimes to the point of nausea or when you just want to take a nap. I need a few days to relax and reenergize b/c just trying to get things done at work really are taking it out of me.

I mean don't get me wrong I have a great boss and he did unload a lot of my projects. But I still ended up spending nearly 11 hrs at the office today... which was incredibly frustrating and annoying. You can't really blame anyone... things happen.

People came by to wish me well and I just couldn't enjoy it.. there were deadlines that had to be met. One thing that I did take away is that a number of people said to me... enjoy this time.. its a great time in your life. That really stuck with me. So now I'm home... I'll finish up the few small ends for work and relax and wait for the next phase to begin.

Anyway RD has a new toy... I am sure there is a degree of him wanting to take some good pix of his new niece but part of that is just an excuse as he's been eyeing the DSLR cameras for a long time.... so he took the plunge and is now the owner of a bright shiny new Canon Digital Rebel Xti. The picture in the upper right is courtesy of his new toy. I must say it really is much easier to take great pictures! Its cool for me because I've dabbled a bit in photography.... I have an interest but never been able to really submerse myself in it and so I could never justify getting a DSLR... well now I can "play with his" (of course I can only play when I've washed my hands 20 million times).

Anyway so I'm gonna go get some sleep... maybe I'll be more cheery tomorow.
