Wild Safari

One of my favorite places to take the kids is the Wild Safari atSix Flags. Its great for my kids age....
-They don't have to get out of the car which means
-I don't have to lug around a stroller
-They don't have to be stuck in their car seats
-I don't have to bother with huge parking lots (associated with most zoos)

Its a total win win for everyone involved. So needless to say we've been there many many times... this time I happened to bring along a photographer with me..i.e. my brother... and he got some great picts... (I didn't intend to bring him along b/c he was a photographer.. it just so happens in the 3 seasons I've been taking the kids through the wild safari he hasn't been through even once)

So I consider this one of the two awesome photo's of the day.... the rhino's have passed in front of our car before but they've never actually just grazed so close to car. It was pretty cool to just park there and watch them so close up (give the kids time to count their horns)... although after about 15 minutes... certain passengers in the car were just a bit nervous that this rhino would charge the car.

Ok so second only to the rhino picture is this great panoramic shot of the giraffe's... these giraffe's are incredibly friendly (in fact this year they are offering a new close encounters tour where you get to feed the giraffe). If the cars are not moving the will come get a close up and a nice lick of of your windshield. I don't know why I never thought to take a panoramic pic of these guys but definitely shows you just how tall they are...
