Girl Power

I've been doing a lot of "girl time" this week. Diva calls it "uploading to the network".... I call it therapy. Not that my husband doesn't listen and he is more understanding than I often give him credit for but still every so often the double x chromosome needs another double x chromosome to relate to.

I went to a crop this weekend with a few of my croppin buddies... seriously had a good time... wish I could say I had as much Captain Morgan as Laura did but I was dry this weekend. I got a start on a circle journal which I have been talking about doing for a long time but seeing as I handed it off to the first person I don't actually have any pictures to share.... was very happy how it turned out and got to play with Laura's cricut for the first time which was fun.

I also worked on a 8x8 album I am doing on our home. 8x8 are my new favorite size... well not favorite size but they are great when I decide to do a themed album. I made this album as a class at CKU last year but it was a 6x6 and I really wasn't all to crazy about that size so I pulled it apart (thank heaven for xyron... didn't need undu) and completely redid it for 8x8... its still not done but did make some headway this weekend, here's a few of the pages I finished:

Ok... so I have to share this b/c it completely struck a nerve with me... I thought it was sooo awesome... Laura made this starbucks coffee sleeve mini album with all these colored sleeves that apparently Starbucks gives out at christmas... she's got 12 and so its the 12 childhood memories of chrismas.... she is going to put index cards in the sleeves... get it.... you can pull the index cards out and read the memory then put it back in the sleeve.... sooooo awesome. Really it just makes you happy looking at it.

On a completely different note... I seriously have to say have you ready Cathy Z's post today about chip the dog the woman cracks me up......
